Whether you intend to submit your book to a literary agent, direct to a publisher, to self-publish it, or to have it uploaded to a website as an eBook, I can help you.

You see, when you’ve written a book, it is impossible to proofread it accurately yourself.

Why do you need to proofread your book?

So that it looks good to the reader.

You, as the writer, have become so used to your book you see it only through your eyes, not that of the reader.

Even if you have read your manuscript ten times, another person reading it will see typos – those annoying mistakes that creep in unnoticed by the writer. And is your spelling correct? A spell check programme helps but does it know when “there” should be used instead of “their”?

The service I offer is to read your book and check on spelling, grammar and punctuation.

I will not edit the book (that’s the job of your publisher’s editor) or suggest any improvements or change your style or the content or plot of your book. And I won’t steal your ideas – I’m too busy with my own writing.

My job is technical: to get your book into shape for submission to a publisher.

Why is that important?

Because if your typescript is full of typos, grammatical errors, and looks unprofessional, no one will bother to read it.

Except me. That’s where I can help.
